For older adults, who have had little contact with new technology, the prospect of learning to use smart phones and tablets, laptops and digital cameras, etc, can be quite off-putting. Not knowing the basics about new tech can exclude us from what is becoming normal activity for the rest of the population.

At Silver City Surfers, we know that older adults (mainly over 55 years) can, with patience and support, get to grips with digital devices. Our expert volunteer tutors have helped many an ‘oldie’ to: face-time with their grandchildren, email their relatives, do their shopping online, browse the internet, and join the world of Twitter or Facebook.
