On behalf of the Management Committee, and all who work here, I welcome you to the Aberdeen Silver City Surfers.

Now twelve years old, we are a registered Scottish Charity, managed and run by volunteers, supported by a co-ordinator and driven by the belief that older people can be enabled to enter the ‘Age of Technology’.

We hope the information here will be of help to all those over 55 in Aberdeen and the North East, who want to get online. We aim to meet the needs of our users by giving them the opportunity to learn basic computing skills, to explore new equipment and to take advantage of a whole new world of communication and information.

We intend to provide a friendly and supportive place where you will meet our patient, experienced tutors in one-to-one sessions, based on what you need.

We also provide hospitality – tea, coffee and biscuits, where the mysteries of the gigabyte and the problems of the world are solved!

We think it’s all very exciting! We hope you do too!

Please do contact us and come along to one of our drop-in sessions. We look forward to seeing you there.

Former Chair

New and old volunteers are always welcome too!
